August Storms
August 2011 has brought a series of significant snow storms, and more powder is on the way to finish up the month. After last week's one meter snowfall in the mountains near Santiago, many resorts reported their most visited weekend ever. The record business is well-deserved, after a lackluster 2010 season snowfall, and a slow start in June and early-July of this year. The snow was just that good. September in La Parva and Valle Nevado
AndesWeb was at the Three Valley's for the early-September powder. This photo essay shows La Parva and Valle Nevado on September 4. They had just received 20 cm of fresh snow, and conditions went from spring-like to mid-winter very quickly. Off-piste had some great powder!
